"When I got my first MacBook back in 2004, I loved it so much I wanted to sleep with it under my pillow. As a writer and creative director, it’s THE tool I turn to for everything. That makes it tough to hand it over to someone to work on. Not only because it contains all my work, but my work has fast turnarounds and short deadlines.

Fortunately, there’s Mahesh and Mac Alchemy. For the past 10 years, Mahesh has kept my computer systems, and therefore ME in business.

After my first MacBook got the vibrating line of death, I called Mahesh. She deftly recovered everything off of it, helped me find the perfect replacement, guided me through all the different options, including warranty advice, upgrades, etc., then did everything necessary to get me back up and running again.

When my newest MacBook started stumbling, I left my computer with Mahesh for a week while I traveled. When I got it back, she’d replaced the hard drive and added more memory. All my backup files were neatly organized. She’d integrated it all with my Time Capsule. Most recently, it was integrating my iPhone and home WiFi music together.

Over the years she’s helped me create backup hard drives, installed routers and helped rescue me from infrastructure death more than once. Usually over a long distance call more than once.

Throughout all my time working with Mahesh, she’s always been ever patient, calm, reassuring. I think of her as my electronic healer. She deals in energy, unblocking it, re-routing it (literally), opening new systems and making new connections. Mahesh makes everything run more smoothly. She’s frugal, so I always know I’m getting the best deal possible, too. Because Mahesh is self-taught, she’s always finding new, innovative solutions to problems.
